Safe number: this is the number used by Apple is you ask for a phone call to verify your Apple account. It's actually in Texas in the US, and not Liverpool - it's a quirk of formatting. I know because I've just been through the system and dialled the number back to confirm.

THIS IS CLEARLY SCAM AS THEY ARE TRYING TO GET YOUR LOGIN DETAILS TO THEN EMPTY YOUR BANK ACOUNT AS PAYPAL ACCOUNTS ARE LINKED TO YOUR DEBIT CARD AND THEREFORE TO YOU BANK ACCOUNT. BE WARY, DON'T CLICK ON THE LINK PROVIDED ON THE SMS IS A FAKE PAYPAL PORTAL.
Had a call from this number at 13.30 on 23/02/22. Upon answering i waited for the person to speak first, it was an asian sounding person in a call centre. As soon as they asked how i was today i asked straight out if they were a scammer to which they responded yes they were a scammer and a fraudster followed by oh my god repeated several times. I stated the call should now end and looked online to find number belongs to a sushi bar in London so this number was spoofed/cloned and not the genuine number.
