Telling me someone had paid £900 for online shopping on my card.
Voice call reporting to be VISA and asked to press 1, put through to operator who when I asked who was representing said, "F*** you" then hung up.
Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.

Automated call. Says some nonsense about avoiding the call will result in magistrates action then gives you a refererence number which is probably: 2019-2101-t9. It states it so quickly, I can't be sure if 100% correct. If it were important then it wouldn't be coming from a mobile! Either way, then says "press 1 to speak to an officer". I didn't.
Someone called from this number on Saturday 10/09/2022 around 11:44 (BST) telling me that I must pay my tax or I will be charged of Tax evasion. I am worried.

I have received a call from this number a recorded message claiming to be the HMRC threatening to take action against me. There was an option to stay on the line and speak to an operator. Obviously I didn't. When tried to call back, receiver ended the call back.

Went through all the comments, I found some painful, while some were funny. My conclusion is most people can still get scammed just because they can’t read in- between the lines. I’ve be victimized. Now I have a resident expert and a professional hacker who helped me recover my funds and so far, it had been worth it. Hackers easily know a bitcoin scam. Claimed to be calling from 'MES' about life insurance. Smelled like a scam right from the off, so it mostly like is. Probably just best to hang up and ignore them. If it's important and a genuine issue they'll just write to you.
