These people claim to be from Microsoft technical support - hint, Microsoft has no way of knowing that you have a computer, let alone if it is infected with a virus - and want you to give them remote access to your computer to steal your data, or bank details, or lock up your computer and demand a ransom, or just plain scam you for "fixing" something that wasn t broken in the first place. Selling an early upgrade - knew my name, contract details and were able to send me a one-time access code to show they were calling from VodafoneUK. Although when checking on Vodafone website the number was 1 digit different with the 8 at the end and not a 9.

wife answered my mobile, chap asked for me by full name , she said i wernt around` then she asked what it were about ` he said he is a solicitor of some sort, then said it was about my car accident a few years ago, and because it was a non fault on my part they would be able to get some money for me from it` she gave him a time to call back the nxt day when ide be around, but they called 5 hours before they were asked but the call were missed, not sure what to make of this. the call back were today .12.41 p

When I rang back an answer phone came on so I put my phone down in case it was a scam to over charge me.

Caller knows I ve applied for power of attorney for my husband ? HOW ?? Reason for call - my husband may be due for refund PIP. Said he ll call back in one month when power of attorney should be completed !! This number has now been blocked on my phone. I won t get involved with unsolicited phone calls.

Unsolicited call receieved Sept 10 2018 a day after junk mail calling was declaraed illegeal in the UK. This is from a company called Select Call about mobile phone tarriff. If you receive a call please report it to the Information Commissioners Office. This company needs to be put out of business and the directors prosecuted. The number they called is registered with the TPS
