Answered two calls yesterday and they hung up, so I was prepared today. Knew my name and told me my Vodafone business contract was up for renewal and I was also eligible for an early upgrade. (My contract is not up for renewal though.) I asked if they were Vodafone and I was told they were Future Comms who deal with Vodafone Business Contracts. Fishy! Told them no thanks, and ended the call. (Now blocked.) She was very polite though and not pushy.
Unsolicited call. As these calls are usually from scammers, I tend to press Answer and put my phone to one side without saying anything until the unwanted con artist tires of my silence and hangs up (I recommend any potential victim tries it, it's tremendous fun). It normally takes between 4 and 45 seconds for them to take the hint. Unfortunately, they do tend to call back multiple times afterwards, but I persevere with the silent treatment because it's their time being wasted, not mine.
Called up our business phoneline asking about our computer/laptop was infected with viruses and spyware etc. and that they were calling directly from Microsofts head office and our number was registered to the computer. We have a separate IT department tha
