I told them (truthfully) that I am ill and asked them to call back another time (which was generous as my debt management plan is working very well, and I didn t need to talk to them at all). I have called applianceserve on 08004118899. I said I had asked for a refund of the £175 I had paid for my washing machine to cover the next 3 years following the expiry of the manufacturer s guarantee but had not received any response. Having seen comments on the internet saying it was a scam, I said if the company is genuine then please can you arrange a refund. She looked up my details and said someone will call me tomorrow in office hours. She sounded pleasant - so - watch this space!!

using Tellows I see that this number is based in same area as other companies who cold call trying to get me to make investments.

Received a call offering a free tablet, declined as I did not believe they were calling from Vodafone themselves, and hung up. Then received a seemingly automated text message from Vodafone advising the call was genuine, but the grammar in the text was poor - "infact", "you wasn t sure", "removed you from our list of customer" - so I can t be sure if it is genuine. Surely a big company like that would check something so simple?

Calling to offer better deal to try and stop me using PAC code. Significantly better offers than available online. Smooth process, no hard sell, scheduled a call back to allow me to research alternatives. Called back as agreed and set up the offers mentioned quickly and easily.

Many calls from this number and a dozen others, one at half midnight. On the occasions I did answer they gave the name NCS Legal. I asked them to stop calling, explaining I was registered with TPS. The only thing that worked was lying to them by saying the insurance company had already fully compensated me - there was no money to be claimed. Miraculously the calls then stopped. I ve complained via TPS. Please consider also complaining, TPS or OfCom. Hopefully eventually they ll get landed with a good size
