Purports to be from BT ? Indian woman wanting to know about certain numbers ! SCAM !!! Lots of uk numbers seem to be hijacked or re routed through Indian call centres !!!

unsolicited call saying urgent PPI claim, surely there must be a way we can block these calls !
Supposedly the NatWest fraud squad wanting you to press Y (yes) or N (no) on your phone to verify whether transactions on your account are legimate. FRAUD.
Female caller said I d had a bump 3 years ago according to their records which had come up on my insurance renewal. Load of rubbish - I ve not had an accident for over 20 years! Told her this and she just went "oh" so I hung up. Would have liked to see where this was going (their phone bill, not mine!) but I didn t have the time.
within an hour I got three calls from the number, this time with a crackly message about how they are British Gas and would like to speak to me about my account, and can I ring them on an 0845 number. why should I? gonna report it to TPS.
