Another accident chasers, this time from Birmingham... Just block it. I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very useful for call centres). No problems.

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 1618142xxx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - mostly as insurance marketing, PPI - car accident chasers, "1st call group" or "Pensions Advisory Service". No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

Just found out that £79•99 has been taken from my account by a cpmpamy called mgi. I didnt make the payment via card and had to call my bank to cancel my card. They told me i have to wait 3 days to see if the payment is taken as it is pending so i cant stop it. This is a joke and the company should be prosecuted for it. He said he was updating records, to stop me getting nuisance calls for life ( alarm bells already ringing). He asked me to confirm that I paid my phone contract by direct debit, and then asked me to confirm my card expiry date...at which point, I hung up.
