After another threat they told me to press 1 to speak to the officer in charge of the case. At which point I hung.

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Fraud Said they were from HSBC and wanted me to go through security. I said I'd call them back and at that point they gave me the genuine HSBC number (I said I'd look it up anyway). So I called the genuine number, 03457 404404, and wasted my time and HSBCs, as there was - surprise surprise - no suspicious activity on the account.

Extremely foreign individual - fairly incomprehensible!! Apparently advising refund due from BT, although quoting call as being from Sky. Asking for bank account to which the refund should be made.

I'm from Portugal and today someone tried to reach me on my mobile phone from this number. I've been to the UK but not recently and I have only one relative the and she didn't tried to contact me. Therefore I think this it was a phishing call. Be ware!

Incoming call saying Hammersmith & Fulham Borough of 02087483020 So I looked it up as didn't answer it looks genuine but why would a London Borough for Housing phone me up when I live up North is beyond me. So for this am sorry to say it's a SCAM. Compared to the other 3 Comments left with Reviews

SCAM. Recorded message with lots of grammatical errors claiming to be from an unspecified bank security department about suspicious transactions on my card.

3 times these person called me after saying twice nicely that I wasn't interested and hanged up. The 3rd time wasn't so nice and asked to speak to management and he refused to and then was threatening as well saying who do you think I am and do you know who I am etc.

Received a payment request email from Paypal for £650 with message stating "Fraudulent activity found, amount £649.99 GBP has been debited from your account for a purchase of DECATHLON GIFT CARDS, if it's not you reach us immediately @ +44-800-368-9784". As this email was directly from PayPal, i checked my account and the request for payment was actually true, however the message on the request is false and the number is fake. This number is NOT Paypal and is a scam.
