SCAM SPAM, sent a text message from a seperate number (+44 7851 800695) asking me to call as its my child and their phone is smashed and their friend gave them a new one and the speaker isnt working on the phone they are texting off? my child is 8. seems suspicious.

SCAM Presented themselves as an online competition for a DELL laptop through The Warehouse New Zealand. They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money. The bank transaction shows as Highgames.Online and the number +44753717396 4691792... which the first part I thought might be a UK phone number, hence my post here. Male voice, indian accent. All I could understand was "I am calling you today......... mam". I asked him to speak slowly and clearly, he repeated the garbled content and I told him I didnt understand and needed him to speak slowly. He hung up. Sounded like a typical phishing call. Sad he hung up, I like to play them along for a while just for my entertainment and waste their time.

I never answer these numbers. Always check sites like this first.???? Keep in mind delivery scams work because people often expect parcels. If in doubt hang up. Ring back using another phone, if possible.

Do not do this or give any information. Kept on asking the caller to state my Virgin Media account number. they eventually put the phone down on me :D
