I Believe this is a scam call 01985216376 - I had a call from this number from a person with an Indian accent calling himself Barry. He said he was calling from open reach regarding our internet line, in the background it sounded like an office environment. I called the number back and got an English speaking gentleman called Richard and no office sounds in the background and he was not open reach. They may be tapping in to UK numbers to catch people out. My internet is working Fine by the way.

So this number comes up for a Polish restaurant Folk House Zakopane in London. Well they'd have no reason to be calling people out of the the blue and 'Max' claimed he was calling from Carphone Warehouse.

SCAM: Automated female voice claiming to be calling from Amazon to tell me my account has been auto renewed for a year, and my account debited £39.99. Press 1 to speak to someone, or press 2 for other queries. Absolute tosh. I don’t use amazon.

UK (not sure why it comes up as Hanoi on here!) - Worldwide scam phonecall from DHL in the UK spoofing the actual DHL customer service number so it looks/sounds legit, automated Chinese voice asking you to press 9 to speak to someone regarding a parcel, then repeats the message in Chinese. Total fraudscam, using bank ppi, saying they have claimed compensation of £2550 + interest of £1550 from your bank, when asked what the name of my bank is, i said my bank was "bank of paris" (which doesn`t exist), and they didn`t know this, then they gave me a ref number and and id number, saying they don`t ask for bank or card details, and the cash was in a wallet ?, and passed me to another asian, he then asked me the id and ref numbers, which i gave the wrong ones, confused he then asked for my

Unpleasant SCAM / SPAM. They left this voice mail message on my phone: "For you there is a tax fraud case registered under your name. You have to press one to get connected to the officer of HMRC. If in case you don't press one and your call is not connected to us then the warrant will be issued under your name straight away and you will get arrested shortly."
