obviously a robocaller. female voice identified herself as Lydia Lees, and say she was calling about the no fault accident I was involved in. when I answered yes to her question, I wad asked to stay on the line. i wss put on hold, at which time i ended the call. perhaps another one I can mess with if they call back...
SCAM A robotic voice saying that I am to be prosecuted for tax evasion and a warrant has been issued for my arrest. Told to press a number to talk to them. What low life they are!
Supposedly from BT saying my internet connection has been hacked. Press 1 to speak to someone or internet turned off within 24 hours. The only button I pressed was end call.
Said they were phoning from Virgin Media. I was suspicious so hung up and phoned Virgin Media who said it was a scam they wanted me to open a screen sharing app.

Just received a call. When I answered, a beeped sounded, an automatic voice said "goodbye" and the connection ended. Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?
Don t call them! It s a total rip off - they try to make the call as long as possible, leave you hanging for minutes on end only to charge you ?3.00 for a two minute call! - And the "best" thing is: they don t even tell you about how much it will cost in advance!
