Potential cost trap! I also had a phone call about my computer and its "harmful viruses." I said thanks but I dont have the conscience to accept help from a cold call. I felt I was putting my privacy in danger.

Called as it s a local number to me (Amesbury) I picked up as could have been a trustworthy number. No sound after repeatedly answering "Hello??" after 10 secs heard garbled nonsense and the line went dead. Tried calling back had 20 secs of silence and no ring tone.

Just been called from this number - thought it was a real human at first, but then realised it was some sort of semi-automated system, pretending to interact with my replies. Claiming to be Injury Claim Law - they have an interesting website, which contains a number of spelling mistakes, so doubt they are anything other than a bunch of low life ambulance chasing chancers!

Had a woman saying we had agreed to support thier campaign got to the end of her spiel then she asked where to send the invoice, gave it to her both barrells, she said we had agreed verbaly and would pass onto thier technical support for recording of agreement. Think they are trying to make people believe others in your company have ageed to sponsor.

Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. I returned to Johnny and advised this, to which he said "did you tell him it s a financial matter?". I responded, "No, because you didn t say it was. But he won t take the call". I received this call yesterday and it appears to originate from Meriden, Conneticut. I automatically ignore these sorts of numbers and block them. However, I'm being inundated with these calls on a daily basis and it's so frustrating as they will keep calling you but from a different number!

The person calling said they were from Carphone Warehouse and wanted to talk to me about upgrading my phone (but didn't seem to know what model phone I had, plus this mobile isn't with Carphone Warehouse), but the number is showing up online as belonging to a newsagent in Daventry so be cautious as I'm not sure it's legit...
