SCAM Indian lady says she is from BT about suspicious activity on my broadband. The telephone is located at 39 Jubilee Road, High Wycombe, which is a private house. Beware.

I have been called on numerous occasions throughout the day from the number originating from Doncaster. I have no connection with Doncaster personally or work related. I have checked all policies held and none correspond. Probably easier to answer the call to confirm but this has the feel of a scam/cold call.

Asked which part of London this Virgin Call centre is in. She replied "Canberra", maybe confused with Australia? Yes this is a children s brain damage charity and I have had dealings with them in the past, however received 2 calls from them today 1st one was just heavy breathing left on answer phone? Second call wasn t answered and no message left, shall be having strong words if they phone again.

Calling about compensation that could be available for a minor motoring incident I ve been involved with recently. They used my maiden name which was a red flag to start with, and I ve not been in any incident. Lady tried to persist with the call after I politely tried to end it so hung up instead. Looking back at call history there s been 6 missed calls from this number in last week with no messages left. Number now added to blocked list.

one with an Indian accent and I told him or her (couldn't tell from voice) to remove my number from the calling list. They hung up. Shortly afterwards, I looked up Cambridge Joining Technology Ltd, which turns out to be a real company, and called the mobile number on its website and warned the man that his company name is being used. He didn't recognise the number.

A VERY Asian sounding DANIEL just called from 02082132170 claiming to be from "technical services"..... put the phone down on me when I commented he was no more a DANIEL than I was a MOHAMMED!!!
