My answerphone is permanently on to intercept this sort of thing. These people have started leaving malicious and abusive messages. Thought this went beyond telemarketing so reported them to police. Their response was to advise if I don t want abusive calls don t use answerphone! Not sure who s the bigger waste of space, cretinous telemarketers or the Met.

SCAM Asian sounding male purporting to be from BT Openreach saying our internet speeds were markedly low and he could help with this problem. I said we regularly check our up and download speeds and as we're on Fibre to the Premises with BT our usual speed is around 400mbs. He put the phone down. I imagine he was going to ask for ££ to enhance our speed.

Fraud Call was recorded message purporting to be from Amazon and saying that payent of £399 had been taken for my order, if I did not authorise this press 1. So hung up, so obviously a fraud. Caller ID on phone showed a local geographical number, most likely that this was fake. Telecoms companies should have a way of identifying the origin of these calls and should really address this lawbreaking, ie conspiracy to commit fraud.

Automated call Recorded voice telling me I had made an international money transfer from one of my bank cards. This is the second call telling me this today, the first was from 01482354676. Was calling, had all the wrong details about me, was after another name, but then decided they d try with their spiel anyway. Not sure if it s genuine or not, but was trying to get me interested in smart meters for my gas/electric. I told them I was on direct debit and that swiftly ended the call.
