Cold call insisted there was a problem with our BT Internet, in 20+ years I've never had a BT line or phone number and have nothing from BT. The guy was quite insistant and rude when I told him so.
SCAM / SPAM Automated call with a dodgy American accent claiming to be "hmrc" and that I'm under investigation for fraud and to hold the line for the next available agent . Then a packistan woman (obviously in a call centre) asked my made-up name and address tells me I'm under investigation for tax fraud and asks who files my taxes. I tell her I'm unemployed. Called today. Recorded voice claiming to be from my broadband provider and they will be terminating my service due to suspicious traffic. Unable to disconnect the call till I had pressed the disconnect button several times and even after the voice stopped an obvious line was still open even though I could dial. If they call you ensure you have cleared the call before calling your Internet provider or use a different phone so they don't record your details.
