This number & variants of it have called me 7 times over the last 2 days absolutely fed up if it, seems these scammers don’t give up just working out how to block all the numbers

I think this might actually be a valid Co-op number. I say that because: 1. I tried to make some credit-card payments while abroad, but they were declined. 2. This number called my mother to check the payments. 3. When my mother confirmed with them that the payment attempts were valid, my card started working again! But I cannot 100% confirm. My mother actually received three calls over the weekend. Sadly this number is not shown on the Co-op website. So it's difficult to verify.

Declined their invitation, looked online to find the number was from Reading, then at "Wokingham Borough Council News." to find "WARNINGS OF LOFT INSULATION SCAMMERS".
Received 4 calls on my cell in Benelux within 2 minutes; this is part of a practise that started on 13/2: since then I received about 60 odd calls from similar +44 numbers. The first one or 2 I picked up and people claim I registered with credit card for online consultancy, related to financial investments. After that I categorically block all these calls. Message said two payments had been taken from 'your card this morning' - one to Amazon for £200 I think, the other was £700 cash drawn from my card but didn't actually specify WHICH card it was.- Press 1 to authorise payments, or 2 to speak to someone. Complete bunkum. Call supposedly from Liverpool. Probably a spoofed number.
