Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. Someone speaking an Asian language called at 8am. When he realised I had answered he switched to English to tell me my broadband had been hacked. Asked the name of his firm - BT. Told him I would deal with it and hung up. Rang BT but the number was not theirs! how surprising. Number now blocked.

They said they had called from a friend’s phone 07599569709 which was about to die. This is terrible preying on parents. I don’t know what would have happened if I clicked on the number. I have never heard of a bank that calls a person without the person calling forst so it is obviously a scam. Not sure how they scam, but I have blocked this caller now and it will be blocked forever. Just be aware and check your passwords etc on your bank details.

Fraud SPAM SCAM A Mr. Ford claiming to be from HMRC, telling me that I have an outstanding debt of £545 which must be paid immediately, otherwise there will be a warrant issued for my arrest. I said that I didn't believe this was a genuine call, hung up and then called HMRC but couldn't get through. After an hour and half trying I gave up, but I don't believe they call people from mobile numbers and I know I don't owe anything.
