I received calls from people saying your number is showing up on their caller ID, it's likely that that my number has been spoofed by scammers. I don't have a business or anything like that. This was an unknown number and the caller said he was my computer technician,,,,,,,,he isnt.
An Indian sounding gentleman on a very bad line, claimed to be calling me from Currys PCWorld with a promotion to upgrade my cellphone (his term) for no charge, could I just confirm what phone I currently had? As I do not have a mobile contract through Currys PCWorld I knew this was a scam call and hung up.
Says he is from Office of National Statistics and alleges I have signed up to something. But I have not signed up to anything like this, so potential fraud.
