Guy calls saying I qualify for a refund due to a prior overpayment and that he can help me claim it. I ask where he s calling from, he says "consumer services". Starts asking for my banking details and I have to interrupt him again to ask what company the "consumer services" relates to. He answers with Reactiv Media and the continues badgering me for bank details. I stop him to say I don t recognise the name of the company and if he could remind me what service I purchased from them. He hung up.

I answered the phone to a confident sounding male who I knew was trying to sell something as he began with the usual "I hope I find you well this afternoon". He said our property was on their database as having old fashioned loft insulation. I immediately interrupted him to tell him he was wrong, we have modern insulation and that we don't want it up to the rafters as the loft is boarded and used for storage. Was called by this number at 3PM, I missed it and it went to voicemail. The voicemail was muffled, had music playing in the background, with a woman speaking what sounded like Chinese, though it was hard to tell because the audio quality wasn't very good. Called me and when answering they dropped the call. Have automatically blocked them.
Rang for 4 rings and as soon as answered, phone went dead.
This is the first call from this number, it s a premium rate number, if the call is important they would leave a voicemail but they didn t, it s possible it s for ppi or some other cold caller, if it calls again I will block it but won t answer it.

Just been called by this number "To check I m on the best tariff for broadband, phone and TV". I asked where he had my telephone number as I m on the telephone preference service and he said they buy in data and I must have opted in for a call from Simplified Digital.
Pre recorded message re missold payment protection insurance. Standard woffle saying I could get up to £4000 in compensation. Press 2 to speak to an adviser, or alternatively save yourself money and put the phone down. The majority of people could deal with the banks etc themselves thus saving themselves the fees that these claim companies would charge.
