I was targeted for an unusually precise scam 26/05/23 in which a group telephoned me apparently with specific knowledge of my bank organisation, my name and mobile number. The scam started by suggesting there was fraudulent activity on my bank account, and that the account was being temporarily suspended. What surprised me was that they knew who I banked with, and also spoofed the relevant bank telephone number
This was an automated mans voice claiming to be some kind of fraud check saying there was unauthorised payments from my amazon account. Did not say who they were. Did not believe them so I hung up. No answer of any kind when phoned the number back. Immediately suspected a scam .

But the 121 message service only catches the end of the message which asks you to press now to avoid court proceedings. Therefore this appears to be a Scam and the number should be treated with extreme caution. Received a call from this number, answered and received an automated message saying my Amazon account had 2 large orders using my card and they didn’t think it was me. It said press 1 for yes it was me and 2 for it wasn’t. I hung up an obvious scam call as how can they know who in the household picks up the call as there might be 5 of us with cards and Amazon accounts!

This number has tried phoning multiple times. I haven't picked up because why would I if I'm not expecting a call from London. No idea if it is dangerous or not but just tread carefully with it I guess.
