SCAM- said I had been in a road traffic accident when I asked where they had got my details from they asked me to wait and someone else came on the phone. They told me the same. I love these calls. This one was from UK Times. On a previous occasion they asked for me by my real name. I said I had passed on (take that as you wish) and I gave them a fictitious name which they used this time. I answered all the questions and now hope to receive phone calls from all the sponsors which I can then report to the Information Commissioner s Office. As the call was from overseas the TPS has absolutely no control over these kinds of callers.
Said they were employed by Great Ormand Street hospital to fundraise When quizzed as to how much money per pound donated went to GOS she replied 75p the rest want in admin costs etc I am disappointed that this marvellous institution has to resort to this method of fundraising
