Then they ask you to check your bank account and lo and behold someone has taken money from your account. In the next few minutes they show you that you have been credited with a large amount of money. This is to say thank you for helping them track scammers. SCAM - Apparently saw and ad for my car and wanted to buy it via paypal without even seeing the car. Definitely a paypal scam where they try to extort money out of you first.

SCAM Claimed to be a local energy advisor. My mobile showed that it came from Sheffield which is nowhere near were I live. I keep being pestered by calls from a local enegy advisor on various numbers!

SCAM: Someone called me to tell me that I had a certain amount of Bitcoin somewhere in an online wallet. When I did not respond the way she expected, she terminated the call.

Returned a call to this number and operator said it is not recognised I therefore take it to be a scam call. I am being plagued with loft insulation calls at the moment so could be one of these don’t answer it .

Fraud: 09011490180 has been billed by Virgin Media as 3 outgoing calls from my Landline but my wife and I have not made these calls. The calls were apparently made on the 18th of April at 11.03, 11.18 and 11.40 with each call lasting exactly 11.06 minutes costing 35 pounds each. So far Virgin Media have refused to investigate these calls and demand payment. It is obviously some king of scam, which should be highlighted as soon as possible and safeguards put in place!

He said with an accent he’s from the phone warehouse. When I replied I don’t know anyone there he hanged up.
