A south african lady left a message with a colleague that she needed to talk to me about a private financial matter. When I returned the call, she was unable to tell me where she got my details from as her info was incorrect. Spoke to her manager Luke Taylor who was also unable to tell me where they got my details. Rang me twice. When I picked up they said it was from Curry’s PC world, saying they had a promotions for phones and asked what phone I was using now. I said I wasn’t interested, and they hung up without saying anything else. It was quite hard to hear as their environment was loud, sounded kind of like a call centre in India. I’m not a Curry’s shopper so I doubt the legitimacy of this, probably a scam.

Called at about 1.30pm on Friday afternoon, asking for someone else who lives in the house. When I said she wasn't there and if I could take a message, they hung up.

Pressed further, he admitted it was a personal injury (or as he put it, "personal welfare") claims referral.
