This company is a respected publisher of lifestyle magazines in which I buy advertising space for one of my clients (I have a long established advertising agency - The Whitaker Partnership Ltd Leeds). The publisher is not a nuisance caller....

Ringing me a 8.45 pm on a Friday night then doesn t speak when I answer the phone! What the hell sort of company is this?

This number calls me everyday, I always ignore it. Reading the comments it is just another scam.

The number is a Glasgow City Council call out for all schools. Individual schools have similar numbers but end in 00xx. You can t call it direct as it is outgoing only, no incoming allowed. Call the main switchboard and complain

Have had 4 calls in the last hour from this number. 1st call I said I wasn t interested, the next 3 they just hang up.

Had a few calls from this number recently. a recorded message saying according to their records we re paying too much for electricity press 2 for details. i didn t press 2 as i use comparison sites to check this sort of info.

Received letter supposedly from The Times newspaper quoting this number to call as problem encountered with subscription payment

Rang twice so far. Foreign difficult to understand- had my name as well as phone number. Put phone down.

I answered the first call. A guy with a heavy Indian accent began to describe a job opportunity before my mobile signal was lost. The same number has called me twice a day for the last 3 days. I ignored the calls and no message was left. Any reputable agency would leave a voicemail.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?
