When I picked up the phone and said hello, I heard a man's voice mumble something in a language I don't know and then hang up. I don't know if it was just a wrong number or worse but it was definitely strange. I also don't have a London number or know anyone in London.

This is a scam where the caller says are from BT or Windows and are trying to get access to your personal data. The best thing to say is that you don t use BT and/or don t have a computer. The number they call doesn t seem to be the real number but some kind of ghost number for them to hide behind.
