Text telling me my EE billing details are wrong asking me to click on a link to verify information! I don't thinks so! my bills are totally up to date so how can they do this!! really annoying - suspected scam/fraud. Who knows what would happen if i had followed the link in the text??
This number called me, an automated voice said that it was customs and revenue and that I owed tax. I hung up before the message was finished.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?
I have no idea why but I am repeateadly getting texts from this number and it says it is from Lurid Nature, the msg says thank you for being our client and if you are interested in more offers please visit our webpage. SCAM Claims to be from O2 and sends texts messages during the call requesting that you tell the caller the code that is in the message for a 40% discount. An obvious scam, reported to NCSC and O2 as it looks like they’re trying to scam users into giving O2 account passcodes which is fraud. Kept her talking long enough for her to become quite rude and call me a liar, I’m not even with O2 so not sure why they’d target me, certainly not an O2 employee anyway.

Three possibilities : they bought the number for their business from a telecoms provider, they hijacked it from a genuine user, or they spoofed it.

Some man claiming that he was calling me about government funded roof installation that I had had installed (which I haven't). Could have been a genuine mistake but, when I said that he must have made a mistake, he rang off without another word, so I suspect that this was some sort of scam call.
