I have called applianceserve on 08004118899. I said I had asked for a refund of the £175 I had paid for my washing machine to cover the next 3 years following the expiry of the manufacturer s guarantee but had not received any response. Having seen comments on the internet saying it was a scam, I said if the company is genuine then please can you arrange a refund. She looked up my details and said someone will call me tomorrow in office hours. She sounded pleasant - so - watch this space!!

Fraud Received a call for numbers 07741 597 541 and 07741 457 942. The pre-recorded message asking to act immediately as my National insurance is about to be suspended and to press on to link with caller. Didn't say who the call was for, I hung up regardless. Clearly somebody hoping to scam me.

This appears to be a fraud pretending to be Amazon Prime, and trying to trick you into revealing financial details.

Scammer - Says they are BT openreach, then proceeds to say there is a problem with the router and you need to give them details to fix it. When I said I don't have BT services, the guy said "I know, BT is the only distributer over the country!" Really? Perhaps they need to do their homework. Called me, nothing heard for 20 seconds, I hung up.
Automated call Recorded voice telling me I had made an international money transfer from one of my bank cards. This is the second call telling me this today, the first was from 01482354676. Exactly the same message and voice. Usual instructions to press phone buttons to approve or cancel payment etc. Number added to blocked calls list and to BT black list. These calls are dangerous.
