This is the latest in a string of nuisance calls, all from different numbers, which have been plaguing me for the last 24 hours. The connection terminates just after the phone is answered, and there is no sign that there is anyone at the other end.

Clearly scammers as I suspected, but he does his best to sound convincing and gives some details and even a post code in Reading which is Microsoft's Headquarters (RZ6 1WG), but not enough details to make it genuine (as it clearly is not). SCAM: Phone rang out twice before they hung up. No voicemail. Definitely a scam. Avoid.
This phone number is calling at least three or four times a day. Then three or four times a week. 12 calls a week is taking the p*! Telling me I have booked a package holiday! I haven't!
