Scam Official sounding voice on voicemail stating suspicious and fraudulent activity near border of Wales and advising to press 1 to tal to legal investigator before taking legal action. Mentions checking National Insurance number check. Obvious scam as some of the grammar is confused but quite alarming on first hearing. I have had a number of calls from mobile numbers with the same first 8 digits.

Like others on here, I frequently post things for sale on Gumtree. Today, after posting an item, I received a text from this number, asking me to contact them by email. When I said I wouldn t give her any personal information without making sure she actually was from Vodafone, she offered to send me a text message to confirm (which Vodafone has never done). The text message came from 08700700191, which is not where my Vodafone texts normally from.

Text received from this number to say that a new payee request to a Mr C Jones through my HSBC mobile banking app. If this was not me to visit a website. Total scam as I do not have an HSBC account and do not use their banking app.

Had a call from this number on my landline at 5:30pm on Wednesday 26th July. Heard two voices on the line when I answered - one a lady who identified herself by name & said she was a local energy adviser (although this phone number is not local to me) but did not give a company name, the other a gentleman talking in a foreign language.
