Tried to access banking details

SCAM, this person was extremely rude with me over the phone, sounds like fraud

Received a payment request email from Paypal for £650 with message stating "Fraudulent activity found, amount £649.99 GBP has been debited from your account for a purchase of DECATHLON GIFT CARDS, if it's not you reach us immediately @ +44-800-368-9784". As this email was directly from PayPal, i checked my account and the request for payment was actually true, however the message on the request is false and the number is fake. This number is NOT Paypal and is a scam.

SCAM Had the name of the person who had my number a decade ago. Told me that person had given them this number when bought a washing machine in 2018. When I pointed this out they hung up so I could not find out the nature of the scam. But number could have been spoofed.

Number came with an email looking as if I had bought a TV on eBay which had a delivery address in a distant town. Checked eBay account and cannot find any evidence of purchases. Think it must be a scam. Person who answered the phone seemed very genuine!

07956 099273 - called me today, totally a scammer, talked absolute rubbish about things being blocked on her system. Any questions I asked were not answered and she even used a swearword. So a rubbish scammer, but a scammer nevertheless. So be careful!

Fraud Said they were from HSBC and wanted me to go through security. I said I'd call them back and at that point they gave me the genuine HSBC number (I said I'd look it up anyway). So I called the genuine number, 03457 404404, and wasted my time and HSBCs, as there was - surprise surprise - no suspicious activity on the account.

Fraud A friend of mine had money disappearing from her bank account, she's Burmese and her English isn't so good so I looked into it for her. Turns out it's a company called Florist-world.com that took 2 euro from her account then took 24 euro every 2 weeks. I finally found emails from them in her spam folder, they'd somehow managed to get hold of her debit card number and were taking 24 Euro every 2 weeks, the last email said that amount was increasing to 44 Euro. I'm more and more convinced it is a scam. I was called this morning, by an automated voice, that there is a proceeding against me because I didn't pay my taxes, and if I want to avoid further consequences (including jail!), I should press 1. Pulled over, pressed 1, a female voice greeted me and asked for personal data. I didn't give any, and asked if there is a number I can call them back on. She said she would call me back later instead. Once home, checekd with HMRC, no issues with my status or taxes.

SCAM - clearly someone trying to get info about bank details. Rang pretending to be from my bank - starts with an automated message stating a large amount of money has been requested from account & if not authorised, press 1. Person then answers but does not know name/details etc & tries to get you to give details. Be really careful with this number - clearly fraudsters/scammers.
