Spam automated message saying there was a transaction on my account and to press 1 to cancel and 2 to speak to a member of the support team.

I answered the call and was greeted by an automated message which suggested they were calling about potential fraud activity on my Visa. I don’t give out my home number and my card providers use my mobile so I know this was a scam call

Scam call purportedly from bank advising of fraudulent credit card transactions which they are blocking. The caller wants you to input a code which they text to you. DO NOT DO SO. If you do they will, no doubt, get access to your account. I put a block on the call number via my mobile phone provider and sent an email to the bank's security dept informing them of the scam.

Had a call from this number this morning claiming to be Tesco and press 1 to confirm order of £99, press 2 for customer services. Didn't press anything and hung up. Called number back and it belongs to an elderly lady so someone is cloning her landline number. Tried to explain but she didn't understand.

SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. I don't know who call me from the number 03333393319. I don't know anyone with this number. The system in my phone classified it as 'Potential Fraud' I blocked it.

The call was from a VISA fraud checking unit. However the number was the fax number for a garage in Penkridge, Stafford that closed down some time ago. Clearly scammers have cloned the number.
