Keep getting calls from this number and when you answer there is noone on there, we had about 10 in 1 day.
Claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse. Could barely understand a word he was saying. I'm not a customer of Carphone Warehouse so I hung up.

This is the HP support number. I had been speaking to them about an issue with my HP laptop, so they did have a legitimate reason to call me a few days ago, but the case had been closed so I chose not to take this call.
Gentleman rang, seemed to have an Italian accent. Stated he was calling from South Wing hospital & was after a female, unsure of name. Asked him what number he was dialing. He gave a number which was not mine. I advised him to recheck & dial correct no.
An abusive man 'Claiming' to be from O2, he is NOT from O2 !! Do Not Answer this number...
I was called to day and the man asked to speak to my husband. I asked him what about and he said that it was about his HSBC holdings which needed assessing. I told him he couldn t be from HSBC as my husband died this year and HSBC were well aware of this. He apologised quickly and rang off.

Usual stuff. Today i asked them to hold the line while I find the details. Set the timer and put the phone on mute. I ve had them wait for as long as 10 minutes before. The more time I waste the less they harass somebody else.

Phone rings, 2 seconds of sounds of a busy call centre, then a rather posh Indian says "Mr.M#####k?" I say "Yes" He continues, "My name is (bogus Indian name) this is the call blocking service..." and I hung up. I don't know why I bother answering the phone nowadays, 99% of the time it is a scam. Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?
