Definitely a scam, someone called using a VOIP program, could hear the tell-tale audio noise as well as the delayed relayed connection. Claimed to be from O2 offering a 50% discount on my monthly call plan, let him get so far into his spiel until he said he was going to send me two codes. Red flag behaviour; never give anyone your text-acquired code, it is to hijack your online account.

SCAM call from a company Estate Plan (not to be confused with legitimate company Estate Planning) about care home fees and if I own my own home. I simply put phone down and blocked number. Called about 11am this morning. Well spoken female voice with English accent said she was an official energy agent in the area and asked if I still had fibreglass loft insulation. I immediately asked her the name of the energy company she worked for. She immediately ended the phone call. Obviously a scam.
Rehan Ali was recommended and everything went through smoothly. I did get confused with accessing my account as I tried to do it through British Gas online, who kept saying they did not have a record of me, eventually I twigged that I access the account through Britishgaslite.co.uk not British Gas. We are now waiting for a smart meter to be fitted. I have been given a date and a time rather than a day or half day slot, I just need to see if they turn up, but so far 5 star rating.
