When I said I knew he has never worked "in industry" and asked what job they were referring to, he got quite arsey and aggressive. I love these calls. This one was from UK Times. On a previous occasion they asked for me by my real name. I said I had passed on (take that as you wish) and I gave them a fictitious name which they used this time. I answered all the questions and now hope to receive phone calls from all the sponsors which I can then report to the Information Commissioner s Office. As the call was from overseas the TPS has absolutely no control over these kinds of callers.
This is not a complaint. I think this is the library renewals reminder service automated by Westminster City Libraries.

This number called earlier this evening and rang off as soon as the phone was answered. Potential burglar seeing if the house was occupied?
Claiming to be from HMRC and saying I would be arrested if I didn't press 1 now! Needless to say I didn't press one, but it might scare enough people to do so.
Came on to say that I had outstanding debts on credit cards etc and were paying off money. Told them it was a TPS line but didn’t take it in.

SCAM An person, speaking bad English trying to convince me that there is a problem with my Windows computer and claiming to be from Microsoft. I did not hold the line long enough to figure out what they want me to do, ended with identifying the Windows computer by the presence of Windows key on the keyboard :-)

PPI scam - calls my mobile several times a day, everyday. They ask for me by name then go on about I am due a PPI refund. They change their number by 1 digit, but I have blocked all of them so far, so their calls are now auto-rejected. My dad is in a hospice now and only has a short time left, so every time my phone rings, I panic. I m sick of these harassing calls!
