Called asked for Emily Simmonds. I told them that I didn t anyone of that name and that they must be operating a scam of some sort. They got quite stroppy when I told them this and eventually hung up. I ve been called several times before by different 0330808 numbers, always asking for Emily Simmonds.
SCAM - robot voice said were from HM revenue and customs. HANG UP!

I Believe this is a scam call 01985216376 - I had a call from this number from a person with an Indian accent calling himself Barry. He said he was calling from open reach regarding our internet line, in the background it sounded like an office environment. I called the number back and got an English speaking gentleman called Richard and no office sounds in the background and he was not open reach. They may be tapping in to UK numbers to catch people out. My internet is working Fine by the way.

Fraud claims to be from National Insurance but it is a mobile number.
It's just a scam regarding Tax Evasion. They will give an option to settle with the court by paying 500£ first or settle it in court with a lawyer. They will not give you a reference number for your case and they will try threathing you with police officer coming to your door.

UK (not sure why it comes up as Hanoi on here!) - Worldwide scam phonecall from DHL in the UK spoofing the actual DHL customer service number so it looks/sounds legit, automated Chinese voice asking you to press 9 to speak to someone regarding a parcel, then repeats the message in Chinese. CALLS FROM COMPANY CLAIMING TO ACT KN BEHALF OF O2. TRYING TO GET ME TO UPGRADE. I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH O2 GIVING OUT MY CONTRACT DETAILS TO OTHERS. DESPITE TELLING THIS FIRM I DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY CONTINUE CALLING. THEY JUST HANG UP IF I COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR HARASSMENT. When i challenged the caller she said her name was Wendy and she was calling from manchester and it was regarding a hoilday i had booked in march next year. i have booked no holiday, and a soon as i said i had been in touch with the police regarding calls form the wales area she hung up. hmmm
Rang me twice. When I picked up they said it was from Curry’s PC world, saying they had a promotions for phones and asked what phone I was using now. I said I wasn’t interested, and they hung up without saying anything else. It was quite hard to hear as their environment was loud, sounded kind of like a call centre in India. I’m not a Curry’s shopper so I doubt the legitimacy of this, probably a scam.
