Claimed it was EE, but I suspect this is most likely a SCAM call centre due to the line of questioning and the fact they simply hung up on me when they weren't getting the response they were looking for.

Phoned me and played a computer recodred message which claimed to be from my card provider, without telling me who they were. Told me that there had been suspicious transactions on my account and tried to get me to speak to them. I hung up and checked with my bank who told me that nothing of the sort could have happened. Fraudulent telephone call. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!

SCAM Robot Dialer, with recorded piffle about being from "VISA" and trying to confirm a £300 payment to Amazon and an International Money Transfer of £1000. eventually got an Indian speaker who was qute surprised when i asked her for the Passcode. Then hung up. Tried to report to Action Fraud, but they are only interested if you have lost money, and it is by Email or to a Mobile Number.
SCAM - they pretened to be from Carphone Warehouse, but it's not genuine - the email they sent is similar, but misspelled on purpose. Dont give them any of your details!

Said that my Bank card had been used twice today and if it was not me gave me the stale ring 1 or ring 2 options. Have not called them back and have no intention of doing so. Man with Asian accent said he was calling from Virgin Media about my internet connection. He said they were having some problems which are affecting my internet connection but the call then disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never once phoned me when there's been problems in the past. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my internet connection and I'm convinced that this was a scam call so I'm rating as dangerous.

An automated vioce usually, claiming various things, in this instance, claiming to be an automated message from my 'bank' regarding a suspicious £300 Amazon charge, it then asks you to press a button option to respond. Don't do it, as I recall, doing so ensures you will get put on a list for more calls, simply because a 'human' responded
