Call on landline at 09:00 on Friday 16/8/19 asking for my partner by name. When connected, she was given correct info about her present and past relatives to confirm their trust, in cvonnection with a deceased person who they needed to confirm was her brother. She had no knowledge of the person mentioned who was said to have been born in 1935. Her brother, in Devon, had a visitor to the door, claiming to be from Finders giving much the same information about noon on same day.
Randomly called said she was from sky and said our internet is slow. Tried to get us to download and app called quick support. This app allows people to remotely access your phone. Very dangerous as the can get so many details this way. We questioned her and she hung up. Called back and metro express answered, Im guessing this number is used for numerous amounts of scams. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 19922824xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, PPI, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
They had my number listed against someone whom I had never heard of, they kept leaving messages for this person, I rang them back to ask where they got the number from, but they couldn t tell me all they could do was to remove my phone number from their records, very helpful
