The call was allegedly from Sure Cover to revise my life insurance cover, then they said I was eligible for a better price and they tried to pass me to another department but I hang the call at that point. I searched and I found an article confirming it's a scam.

If you get a quote from Compare the Market or Money Supermarket, they are in partnership with Life Search who deal with the enquiries, not a scam in any way shape or form, amazes me how quickly people shout SCAM! – I actually got a great deal from them, they were very professional and cheaper then most.
Fraud - got a call from this number claiming to be Amazon checking on whether a payment about to be approved was mine, and to click 1 or 2 for next steps. But phone number seems to be located in Russia!

had a call asking if i was plumber,(yes i am) can i help with a tap problem then gave me an address in local area. Called them back to clarify address and realised after searching number its a windup by faceless people with nothing better to do.
Probably a scam. A heavily accented voice (Indian call centre?) said he was from Sky and wanted to talk about my Broadband. I ended the call at that point.
Picked up call when visiting my very elderly mother. They knew her name but little more. They asked to speak to her but would not say who they were, but said it was important. I said I would not continue if they would not identify themselves @nd they terminated call. Asian man was calling. Don?t think they targeted her because of her age. Get a very casual message using whatever name you are using on gumtree telling you youre paypal account has been hacked and to log in to change your pass.Like any sort of financial service would be running their security through a mobile.What made it more amusing for me is if they bothered seeing the third line of the ads they got my number from theyd see in large letters NO PAYPAL

Follow up call came from a mobile number with a restricted access after original contact came from above number. Wanting to discuss shares from a previous employer and an offer that was to be put forward by minor company shareholders.
Silent call - rang twice within a couple of minutes. Number now blocked & reported to Ofcom.
