They are calling, "On behalf of one of their clients", so telemarketing. I think it could be PPI advertising as I recently filled in a form online (although I did click to not receive any marketing calls). When I phoned the number back, there was an option to enter your number to then remove the information from their database. I did so. Within 24 hours it will be removed, according to them.. here s hoping!

I have just called it back on my work land line (using 141), and received a message saying I was called today by their "Events Team", who will call me back! This number is DANGEROUS! My son with special needs got a barrage of calls from this number spoofing police calls that he got involved in a car accident on the M5, another call saying that they are bailiffs saying that they owe them £1,600. Incident reported to the police already. Stay away from this number. They hide using this number so you won’t see their phone number.

SCAM proporting to be from amazon prime with a refund. Had my partner on the phone this morning for an hour and had access to his phone screen after convincing him to download apps! Called back this evening and I had words with him. Called me a mutherfucker when I suggested he was a scam artist. Called him back on another phone. No answer but was called back a couple of minutes later and the same male south Asian voice denied any knowledge of the call.
They say they are ParcelForce. I haven’t ordered anything.

SCAM Called about internet speed, this one claimed to be BT. Many calls last few weeks, sometimes claim to be Virgin, want to know speed, ip addr5ess and probably more. I string them along until they realise I am wasting their time, they then hang up abruptly. This one was not very polite.
