Fraud A friend of mine had money disappearing from her bank account, she's Burmese and her English isn't so good so I looked into it for her. Turns out it's a company called Florist-world.com that took 2 euro from her account then took 24 euro every 2 weeks. I finally found emails from them in her spam folder, they'd somehow managed to get hold of her debit card number and were taking 24 Euro every 2 weeks, the last email said that amount was increasing to 44 Euro. It’s on a letter that appears to be spam communication about rewards for playing the National Lottery regularly. Name and address on letter. I don’t do the lottery online. So just checking it out.

Automated call, claiming to be from a bank (not specified) to inform me two payments had been made on a card. One to Amazon, and one an international transfer. Asked to press 1 to cancel, and another number to be transferred. This is the third call received in less than a week from similar numbers.

Claiming to be Vodafone with exclusive offers. Very bad VOIP connection. Hung up when asked if they were really fraudsters.

This is a 100% scam by people that are stealing FCA Registered IDs from the FCA and then using those to pose as genuine FCA registered professionals to get you to open a Crypto Wallet - they will say there is a problem setting up the Crypto wallet and will need access to your laptop to resolve - DO NOT TALK TO THEM !

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.

Asking for bank details and for you to contact fraud department as someone trying to get money from your account….not possible to ring them back…scam.
