I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. Received a call from this number regarding compensation for an accident I had last year. When I told the caller I wasn t interested, he said "well, you re just going to keep getting calls then!" I said, "Well, you can do, but you d be an idiot as i just won t answer" and he said "and you re a slag!". I replied "I don t think that s very professional!" and he put the phone down on me.

This person got into my email changed the password and changed the recovery phone to this.
Some random agency contacted me from this number. They started the call with the usual "Good afternoon, I m xxxx is that surname". I sent them away with a flea in their ear as they didn t understand how impolite it is to call someone by their surname only (not even a Mr). If they can t get my name correct then how can I trust them to get me some business and/or pay invoices etc.

UPDATE FROM CHEAP WEB DESIGN: Unfortunately we continue to be hounded by scammers which is resulting in thousands of people calling us back to see why they were called (we're only a team of 8 so have had to disable our phones and put a pre-recorded message). It’s a scam! Told me they had noticed an unusual amount for £1100.00 had been taken from my account. Said they wanted to verify that I had spent it, which I hadn’t but they wanted me to confirm account details.I asked who them to repeat who they were and they said from visa. I then knew it was a scam as I don’t have a visa account.

Companies have got clever because they know if they say PPI upfront, no-one will talk to them! These guys say: "Money Save - in a response to a survey you filled in and expressed an interest in financial products"! Well I may have completed a survey but I certainly did not express an interest in anything! It was then she said they were saving us money by helping to claim compensation, "previously known as PPI." !
