SCAM A gentleman rang and claimed he was from microsoft, he said we had been sent 14 messages that we ignored to say we had been hacked so he was ringing to help. wanted us to sign into our computer while he stayed on the phone so he could help fix it if we followed his instructions. Fraud Received a call for numbers 07741 597 541 and 07741 457 942. The pre-recorded message asking to act immediately as my National insurance is about to be suspended and to press on to link with caller. Didn't say who the call was for, I hung up regardless. Clearly somebody hoping to scam me.

Was calling, had all the wrong details about me, was after another name, but then decided they d try with their spiel anyway. Not sure if it s genuine or not, but was trying to get me interested in smart meters for my gas/electric. I told them I was on direct debit and that swiftly ended the call.

The caller introduced as from Revenue and Customs and says there is a tax fraud case registered under my name. The message seemed to be a pre-recorded one. They wanted me to press option numbers but i hung up.
