Caller pretending to Microsoft to gain access to PC or scam.

Smooth talking guy, asked for me by name. Wanted to talk to me regards my BT bill. I asked him what the problem was. He said no problem, I am your BT agent and could do a better deal. I said to him "but you aren't BT are you" and he told me he was authorised, had a number etc etc. Didn't seem too pleased when I said to him "You are not BT you are JTalk and hung up. Rang back but I let it ring out. Don't need to do business with a liar.

Cold call received mid-morning. Disrespectful, pushy and unprofessional. No contact from this local business ever before, yet rang using over-familiar approach and demanding to talk about IT and security contracts. No evidence of who they were, except their say so. This is not someone that you would wish to talk to blind on the phone and not a business that thinks about their approaches and the need to safeguard their prospective customers against "fishing expeditions". SCAM First of all said they were from Windows, wanted me to turn on my computer so they could stop the hackers who had been trying to get my personal information. They said if I didn't turn on the computer now they would block everything, stop it from working and the hackers would use my information to get access to my accounts. When I asked them to speak to someone in the house who works in IT security they rang off quickly.

This number call me today saying they are o2 thats not a o2 number its a scam

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Said that she understood, I had lost money in an investment and would I like to get it back, I asked how she got my name and phone number and she immediately hung up. This is obviously a scam,

This is a number used by people dealing in so-called trading not recognised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). They use false advertising incl. British celebrities to steal thousands of pounds from UK citizens. They are scammers to put it mildly and not to be trusted!!!
