Obviously a number that is 1234567890 would be highly suspicious. This number from Bedford, UK tried to call me twice this morning. I declined to answer the first time and the number called me back immediately. I did not answer for fear of being charged a fee. Furthermore, I live in Singapore. They called me yesterday claiming that I was in debt to E-on for some old bill. Found it very strange as all utilities companies have the duty to write to you before sending in the "dogs". I refuse to pay and told the guy that I would call E-on first, he said would send me an email with bank details to allow me to make an internet payment (never received). When I call E-on was informed that I wasn't owing anything and all bills were up to date. IF THEY ASK YOU TO PAY, REFUSE AND HUNG-UP!!!
