This number called me when I was not at home. They didn't have the courtesy to leave a message on my answerphone. On phoning this number, I find that it is non-existent. This is usually an indication that a scam caller is spoofing the number, so that they can't be traced.

Strange that the search shows the number as being from Rothesay - which I'd always regarded as a prestigious place !!!

Indian woman called Jessie from Housing Disrepair Association. Told me I'd been reported as having damp in the home. Automated message supposedly to be from my bank about charges to my account, the first for £700. I hung up as sure it's a scam. My bank doesn't contact me this way, or in this manner. Double checked and all is fine. My bank has been very good so far at spotting fraudulent debits. This looked like a local number so it could appear legitimate. I expect there was a number to press to connect with scammer. Despicable people.
They called again and this time I got to the phone in time. He said something 'official sounding' about energy advice. And said loft insulation needed checking every two or three years. When I asked who he was, he ended the call.

SCAM Called saying they were from BT and my internet speed had been reported as an issue. A technician are working on it, but it was software on my router that was wrong. Got me to look up internet speed. Gave them fake results, which would have been top drawer, to be told they were not good Passed me to another technician to get me to open windows run and enter 'www.anydesk.com'. That scam has been doing the rounds for years. Told them I worked in IT, and they hung up!

Cold call. Chris. Friendly but persistent for a free survey for loft insulation saying the insulation we have could cause condensation and damp. Declined their invitation, looked online to find the number was from Reading, then at "Wokingham Borough Council News." to find "WARNINGS OF LOFT INSULATION SCAMMERS".
They called me pretending to be Windows support stating my ID had been compromised. They were very convincing. Got me to share laptop using Anydesk and also got me to run a WIN+r function. After they didnt call back as promised realized i had been scammed.
