one of several fake numbers being used by an unidentified woman (South Asian accent) demanding to speak to our CIO. Refusing to explain purpose of call, whenever she says she'll get the information and call back, she just rings up the next day asking for the CIO again. What a pointless waste of time!
Scam automated voice stating the call is from HMRC and are calling to say I'm going to be arrested if I don't give my payment details.
01709242673 called me since 17th march no calls between 1819 but calls 2x a day every day since any time between 11amnoon and then 4pm onwards Ive rejected many of the calls and they dont get the hint Next time Ill be answering and giving them a piece of my mind Whatever is so important cant seemingly be told to me via a voicemail Jokes

SCAM A female agent called me with Mobile Phone = 07428693956 at 12:22 pm identifying themselves as BT Customer Services and Security. They said their engineer was working on the line and detected an extra IP address registered at my location. Now BT customer services never ring outbound on a mobile, plus IP addresses are allotted by the router and not by the user. Indian accent with British name stating he is calling from O2, then said he noticed I'm not O2 and asked how much I pay and said that he could give me a £6 per month deal. Then I said I'm on Pay as you go and only top-up £5 per year he called me a fool, said I was making him a fool and asked if I'm on my father or mother's company. Fraud - I think? This number rang my home landline (I couldn't reach it, I'm disabled). - I did 1471 + 3 - the number was dead. Google didn't find it (but found a few close variations from Southern American countries, not anyone I know then, (we're in UK). This number doesn't ring when dialed on landline or my mobile, (but rang me a good 1/2 minutes)? I checked & checked it again. - How's it possible? - Obviously some kind of "con", "scam" ?!
