Nuisance call that hung up when not picked up.
They yust phoned up but never left a message. Thats why i always have the answer phone on if they can't talk to you they can't sell you anything. That keeps the conmen at bay.
Received a test similar to other reviews about a Loan from Everyday Loans/George Banco/TrustTwo. However, it gave the correct reference number for the loan that I have with them included. Link included shows as a link to their legitimate website to a letter sent to former/current customers about them participating in a scheme to avoid the business going insolvent

I believe this to be a banking scam as the automated called said they were from Bank Security - but no bank name given. They told me that a charge for £700 had been made by Amazon (I no longer have an account there) and an international charge of £2,000. I was asked to press a number to speak to security!!!

This number was the one that appeared on my phone as having called me, after receiving an automated call supposedly from Visa, informing me of suspicious transactions on my account and to press 1 to accept or 2 if I did not. Later I phoned this number, using 141 beforehand so they would not know who called, and a man answered...just an "ordinary sounding guy", no mention of an office/bank/or fraud squad. I asked to speak to a random person and apologised for dailling a "wrong number"..

Legit. Checks out with what is listed on the HSBC UK website. Though the call quality was very bad. Also, you know it's a genuine bureaucratic banking process when they ask for 10 different details to confirm your identity. I swear the support lady could just identify theft the hell out of me at this point.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. I rang the number back using 141 to hide my number. When the person finally answered it sounded like a work place in the background. it sounded like they were on hands free/speaker and I heard a man say "get off the phone" in a disgruntled voice and then he ended the call. Don't know what they wanted but it's annoying to get calls like this. I've now blocked the number.

Called offering a Domain owned by a business we are friendly with, advising their domain is up for sale. We called the business and they confirmed they are not selling the Domain. Clearly a scam.
