Bloke was very friendly and implied he was from BT and TPS. said there had been a large number of unsolicited calls in the area and offered a service to stop them. Hung up when I pressed him about price and told him I wouldn t pay. Scarily convincing to vulnerable people!

Claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse, offering a iPhone 13 Pro Max. Lots of background noise, when I asked about how they got my number they hung up.

Do not trust them, ask them to take your name off the list as I did. I have had lots of calls from men and women always Indian claiming they are calling from sky in an attempt to get access to your pc / device by saying there is a problem with your broadband It’s a lie and they will put software on your of / device so they can get bank details and other personal information, block them on whatever number they call you on, sky don’t call like this, thanks guys

Called me, asked for [my name], I said "yeah?" and they hung up.
Unsolicited call from Chris, my local energy advisor. When I asked who he worked for, he just repeated his name and his vague title. I told him to FO. The reply was; "OK" and that was the end of the call, It was an English sounding voice, but there was a very slight delay that made me doubt it was actually a human. It could have been an intelligent computerised voice that reads off a script. It was annoying and potentially dangerous.
