Claimed to be from Microsoft and said someone was using my information for criminal purposes...asked me to open computer Idid then realised when she gave me a code it showed up as scam on computer here..told to report this number but do not know who to report it to...Have warned people I know about this number.

Internet? claims to be from BT saying a problem with my internet. I thanked her politely and said my internet is working fine, then I rang off. It didn’t sound like a call centre as was quiet in the background - I don’t believe this was a genuine call from BT
I have been called 7 times from this number over the last 2 days. There has been no-one speaking on any call. I tried calling them but got a recorded message - some insurance company. A real nuisance!

This apparently came from NE France Know no-one in France who would call me or know my number.
Safe number noticed this number once every month on my telephone bill with a monthly charge of 14p. Turns out it is an automatic test call from PPP Taking Care alarm which we have for elderly mother. Called them to ask why we are being charged as we pay a quarterly handling charge. They very kindly switched this to a freephone number so no more charges.

Be careful, I was called with an offer from ‘Currys Carphonewarehouse’ to reduce my mobile sim cost while upgrading the data and minutes allowance and the scammers already had a lot of my personal information including the monthly cost of my current sim plan. The dodgy email account they sent me a confirmation email from was [email protected]. They also called me on 07842778977, 07843577187 & 07848628655. This was a call from a person saying they were from Virgin Media reporting that our internet had been hacked on numerous occasions to cut a long story short I was asked to download the TeamViewer App onto my iPad so they could “put everything right” they were very convincing and I foolishly parted with some money before my switched on son overheard me and hung up the call, I have deleted the app and contacted by bank to report the “Scam” I wanted to forewarn everyone if they receive a call hang up immediate
