this number 01822 743233 is from a debt management company, trying to get people to sign up and use their services to solve debt issues.

automated call suggesting that i press one to be connected to someone about my internet being cut off - SCAM!

this was a robotic voice saying my internet would be cut off and them wanting to change my ip address, obviously a scam but supposedly a local number

introduced himself as from TPS, Telephone protection service and then some scam about attaching a box to line to stop nuisance calls which they would charge 50p a week for for 3 years.Awful that they are masquerading as Telephone Preference Service. Why have the police not stopped this obvious fraud, vulnerable and elderly will definitely be taken in by someone saying they are from TPS,i was convinced at first?

The number they called is for an organisation with thousands of employees and the number they called is not for any individual. I ve had numerous calls(>25)claiming to be from"Talk Talk". Most calls are a few sec s of silence,followed by automated voice saying "Thank You" & call ends. Others advise choosing keypad options;I ve not tried,in case it s a premium rate/International call back scam. Sometimes caller speaks in broken English,citing:"My Talk Talk account"as reason for call. Repeated requests to remove my number, in compliance with Data Protection Act are ignored.
